BS 243: Performs like a large speaker

In order to make the musical imprint of this compact monitor as true to life as possible, special attention was given to the three-dimensional sound radiation pattern, so that the room is acoustically “energised” in a consistent and harmonised way.

The BS 243 is particularly well suited for positioning near a wall on a shelf or on a dedicated stand.

It is designed to work either in small or medium-sized living areas as a Hi-Fi stereo speaker or alternatively in large spaces as rear speakers in a surround-sound setup.
When the BS 243 is connected to a digital surround receiver the speaker option in the receiver's menu should be set to “LARGE”. However, when very high volume is required it is better to set the option to “SMALL” and set the corresponding crossover frequency to a maximum of 50 ... 60 Hz.

BS 244: A pure delight

The BS 244 contains all of the knowledge, all of the virtues of ELAC's long tradition of compact speaker design because for many years it has been the ELAC engineers' aim to reproduce the "greatest possible sound" from the most compact enclosures.

The BS 244 is a “fully grown-up” HiFi loudspeaker which can be placed on a dedicated speaker stand or on a sideboard where its full sound quality is free to unfold. When placed near a wall or on a shelf, it is recommended in most cases that the bass reflex tube be closed with the bass control plug.

In surround-sound operation where the BS 244 is used as a main or rear loudspeaker - the digital AV amplifier's loudspeaker option should be set to “LARGE”.

CC 241: Your home cinema center loudspeaker

For discriminating home cinema fans who do not want to choose between quality sound and interior design, ELAC has designed the CC 241 center loudspeaker. In doing so, it has created a compact yet wide bandwidth center channel with stunning vocal clarity housed in a contemporary high-gloss cabinet, designed to perfectly match modern TVs.

When the CC 241 is used in a surround sound system the digital AV amplifier's loudspeaker option should be set to “LARGE”. However, should additional bass be required through an active subwoofer the amplifier's option be set to “SMALL” and the crossover frequency set to a maximum of 50 Hz. If the crossover frequency cannot be set this way, the CC 241 should not be set to “SMALL”

FS 247: Perfect in sound and design

The FS 247 is the one of the highlights of the new 240 series. It has been subjected to the highest standards, in terms of graceful appearance and stunning sound.

Special attention has been given to three-dimensional sound radiation patterns with the aim of acoustically “energizing” the room in a consistent and harmonised way.

The bass reproduction below 50 Hz is characterised by its amazing quality taking into account the compact and slim cabinet design.
